CO2 Sensing

CO2 sensor for in-situ gas analysis
The BCP-CO2 is a modern in-situ CO2 gas sensor for the analysis of carbon dioxide in bioprocessing and fermentation technology. In biotechnology the CO2 content is a central indicator for the condition of metabolic processes. This carbon dioxide sensor assists you to control these processes better. The BCP-CO2 lends itself as ideal sensor for implementation in fermenters and bioreactors. You can use the BCP-CO2 for every scale from the smallest shake flask or vessel to the production scale. No matter whether for stainless steel fermenters or disposables -  this CO2 sensor is always the right choice. Due to the favourable price the BCP-CO2 sensor is particularly suited for use in parallel bioreactors

The compact sensors of the range BCP-CO2 can be integrated without any problems directly in the gas line. You have the choice between a compact PA-housing and the heavy duty aluminium housing (IP 65). With their sturdy casing and sound technology the CO2 sensors have proven to be extremely reliable. The low-maintenance sensor excels with its very low operating costs. In combination with the BlueSens´ software solutions you can calculate the carbon dioxide emission rate (CER) with the BCP-CO2.
The BCP-CO2 helps, for instance, to optimise the operation of bio-processing online. The CO2 content can be determined directly, locally with this CO2 analyser, no matter what the throughput volume is.

This means process optimization online. The time required for tests in the laboratory is reduced. Additional gas coolers, pumps or valves for gas measurement are not required. The BCP-CO2 can be connected to any process line system without difficulties thanks to the standardized data interfaces.
If you want do measure carbon dioxide under sterile conditions with a shake flask, new autoclavable PES screwed connections with integrated filters are available for the BCP-CO2 sensors in the PA housings.
